When you come to the York Train Fair, make sure to stop by Imagination Station—a fun and welcoming space made just for kids to explore, play, and enjoy trains!

What is Imagination Station?
It’s a hands-on train play area where kids can touch, build, and run trains of all kinds—and it’s free! No tickets needed. All we ask is that a parent or guardian accompany each child and remain in the area while they play.

At Imagination Station, there’s:
- A green wooden floor layout with wind-up trains
- Buckets of chalk to draw your own towns, tracks, and stories
- Push trains with bells and whistles
- A carpeted area full of toy trains to play with
- Ride-on trains—sometimes you even get to be the engineer!
You’ll find Imagination Station in the back left corner of the Orange Hall in a special roped-off space decorated with train banners. When you arrive, your grown-up will sign you in while you get ready for a day of train fun. Chairs are provided for parents to relax and watch nearby while you play safely inside.
Friendly volunteers like Mr. Rob and Mr. Bob are always there to help. They hand out pretzels, treats, and special gifts—so you can take home a little memory from your York adventure.
Important Reminders:
- All children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Adults must remain in the Kids Korner area while children are playing.
- This is not a babysitting service.
We thank the WB&A Chapter of TCA for their ongoing support of Imagination Station and for helping us make this space so special.
