Division President: Bob Buehler

Bob Buehler is the current President of the Eastern Division of the Train Collectors Association (TCA), a prominent organization dedicated to the hobby of toy train collecting. Before assuming this leadership role, he served as an officer on the Virginia Train Collectors Association (VTCA) Board of Directors, demonstrating his longstanding commitment to the model railroading community.
In addition to his duties as Eastern Division President, Buehler has been involved in organizing major TCA events. He notably served as the Convention Chair for the TCA’s 70th National Convention, held in June 2024 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
His leadership reflects a deep passion for preserving and promoting the legacy of toy trains, ensuring that the hobby continues to thrive for future generations.


Division Vice President: Rich Mohrmann

Rich Mohrmann serves as the Vice President of the Eastern Division of the Train Collectors Association (TCA), providing leadership and support to the Board of Directors alongside President Bob Buehler In addition to his VP duties, he currently chairs the Eastern Division’s Finance Committee, overseeing budgeting and financial planning for major events like the York Train Meet.
Rich’s extensive background also includes prior roles with the Division’s Rules & Regulations Committee and the WB&A Chapter, showcasing his long-term commitment to organizational governance.
With decades of dedicated service, Rich brings both financial acumen and institutional knowledge to his leadership roles, helping guide the Eastern Division in fulfilling its mission to promote and preserve the hobby of toy train collecting.


Division Secretary: Russell Youens

Russell Youens serves as the Secretary of the Eastern Division of the Train Collectors Association (TCA), where he plays a key role in maintaining board records and coordinating meetings alongside the President and Vice President. He is particularly known for his role as Preshow Coordinator for the York Train Show, managing vendor setup and logistics, including overseeing the vendor “PRESHOW” held the week before the main event.
An active volunteer with decades of experience, Russell has also contributed at the club level with the Virginia Train Collectors Association (VTCA), regularly organizing events, coordinating food and door prizes, and helping drive member engagement. His dedication to event execution and TCA administration reflects a deep commitment to the hobby and its community, ensuring that both enthusiasts and newcomers enjoy well-run, memorable train gatherings.


Division Treasurer: Frank Nichols

Frank Nichols serves as the current Treasurer of the Eastern Division of the Train Collectors Association (TCA), overseeing financial operations and ensuring responsible budgeting for major events like the York Train Meet. A longtime resident of Spencerport, New York (near Rochester), Frank brings both stability and deep institutional knowledge to the Eastern Division Board.
He has been a dedicated TCA member for decades and is known for his active involvement in club layout displays and community outreach. His steady leadership and passion for toy trains continue to make him a valued and respected figure in the TCA community.


Division Past President: Dan Danielson

Dan Danielson is a Past President of the Eastern Division of the Train Collectors Association (TCA). He is widely known for his leadership in public outreach and his commitment to promoting the hobby to new audiences.
Dan played a key role in developing and managing the Eastern Division’s presence at national events, most notably designing a highly interactive multi-gauge operating layout for the “World’s Greatest Hobby on Tour” in 2006. He later coordinated the Division’s participation in the 2008 show in Hampton, VA, where more than 25,000 attendees experienced the exhibit, resulting in significant interest and new memberships.
Together with his wife Hope, Dan also maintains one of the hobby’s most diverse private Lionel collections. His steady leadership and dedication to the Eastern Division reflect a deep passion for toy train collecting and the TCA community.


Director: Carol Redman McGinnis

Carol Redman McGinnis serves as a Director on the Eastern Division Board of the Train Collectors Association (TCA) and is a Past President of the Division (2012–2013). She brings decades of leadership and enthusiasm to the organization, with a strong focus on outreach, education, and event support.
Carol is the daughter of legendary TCA member Lou Redman, whose legacy and dedication to the hobby continue to inspire generations of collectors. Carrying that legacy forward, Carol has been instrumental in promoting the York Train Meet and authored “Clem’s York Primer,” a widely used guide that helps members—especially first-timers—navigate the show experience. She also previously served as editor of the TCA’s online publication, e*Train.
Carol’s service reflects a lifelong connection to the hobby and a deep commitment to the TCA community. Her continued involvement ensures that the Eastern Division remains welcoming, informative, and true to its mission of preserving and sharing the joy of toy trains.


Director: Robert Newman

Robert Newman serves as a Director on the Eastern Division Board of the Train Collectors Association (TCA), where he plays an active role in Division governance and event planning. In addition to his board responsibilities, Robert assists with maintaining and improving the Eastern Division’s online presence, helping ensure that members and guests have access to timely, accurate information about the York Train Meet and other Division activities.
His work behind the scenes on digital communications and website support has helped strengthen the Division’s outreach and member engagement. Robert’s steady contributions reflect a strong commitment to both the TCA community and the continued success of Eastern Division events.

Director: John Zobel

John Zobel serves as a Director on the Eastern Division Board of the Train Collectors Association (TCA). A Past President as well, he remains deeply involved in Division initiatives, particularly in membership outreach and communications.
John is well known for his informative “President’s Messages” featured in the York Train Meet notices, providing valuable updates and insights to attendees after major events. He also contributes behind the scenes, assisting with the distribution of Division documents, ensuring information is timely, accurate, and accessible to both members and guests.
John’s tenure reflects steady stewardship and effective communication, which have become key assets in fostering community and continuity across the Eastern Division.


Chapter Representatives

WB&A Representative: Robert Heine

Robert Heine serves as the WB&A Chapter Representative on the Eastern Division Board of the Train Collectors Association (TCA), ambassadoring and strengthening ties between the chapter and the broader Division. He also chairs the Division’s Lost & Found committee, ensuring efficient handling and return of mislaid items during major events like the York Train Meet.
A familiar face in the local hobby community, Robert regularly participates in educational presentations, such as model-railroading “Show & Tell” sessions for senior groups alongside other WB&A Chapter members. His steady contributions in coordination and outreach reflect a genuine dedication to both the TCA and grassroots engagement, helping build connections and enriching event experiences.
John’s tenure reflects steady stewardship and effective communication, which have become key assets in fostering community and continuity across the Eastern Division.


Upstate NY Representative: Frank Patti

Frank Patti serves as the Upstate New York Chapter Representative on the Eastern Division Board of the Train Collectors Association (TCA), acting as a vital link between regional members and the Division’s leadership. A long‑time hobbyist, he advocates for collectors throughout upstate New York and supports Division efforts by sharing updates and coordinating local outreach.
Frank is also known for enthusiastically recommending visits to the TCA Museum in Strasburg, PA—reflecting his passion for educational engagement and appreciation of the hobby’s history. Though his board role is volunteer-based with no compensation, his dedication is clear in his active involvement with events and his commitment to connecting collectors across the region.


Parliamentarian: Mary Scott

Mary Scott serves as Parliamentarian on the Eastern Division Board of the Train Collectors Association (TCA), where she ensures that meetings and proceedings are conducted following proper rules of order and the Association’s bylaws. Her role is crucial to maintaining transparency, fairness, and procedural integrity within the Division’s governance.
A respected member of the hobby community, Mary brings a thoughtful, balanced perspective to board discussions and is often called upon to advise on questions of procedure and organizational conduct. She supports the Division’s efforts not only through her technical knowledge of parliamentary law but also through her steady commitment to ethical leadership and member engagement.
