When you come to the Eastern Division’s York Train Meet, make sure to stop by Kids Korner—a fun and welcoming space made just for kids to explore, play, and enjoy trains!

What is Kids Korner?
It’s a hands-on train play area where kids can touch, build, and run trains of all kinds—and it’s free! No tickets needed. All we ask is that a parent or guardian accompany each child and remain in the area while they play.
Inside Kids Korner, there’s:
- A green wooden floor layout with wind-up trains
- Buckets of chalk to draw your own towns, tracks, and stories
- Push trains with bells and whistles
- A carpeted area full of toy trains to play with
- Ride-on trains—sometimes you even get to be the engineer!
You’ll find Kids Korner between the Blue and Silver Halls, in a special roped-off space decorated with train banners. When you arrive, your grown-up will sign you in while you get ready for a day of train fun. Chairs are provided for parents to relax and watch nearby while you play safely inside.
Friendly volunteers like Mr. Rob and Mr. Bob are always there to help. They hand out pretzels, treats, and special gifts—so you can take home a little memory from your York adventure.
Important Reminders:
- All children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Adults must remain in the Kids Korner area while children are playing.
- This is not a babysitting service.
We thank the WB&A Chapter of TCA for their ongoing support of Kids Korner and helping us make this space so special.
